Breaking News! Protect Kids of California Act 2024
America will be watching California's parents as they attempt to bypass the Capitol in Sacramento to protect their kids.
An important ballot initiative has been introduced, Protect Kids of California Act of 2024, to safeguard children and families in California from the growing spread of gender ideology.
So far in California, every legislative effort has failed to legally protect children from extremist transgender activism, including potentially devastating surgeries. In response, parents rights organizations across California have come together to demand protections through a ballot measure—going around legislators and Governor Newsom in Sacramento to ensure the safety of children. This ensures the voters of California are heard.
It has three parts:
1) Requires schools to notify parents regarding children's mental health concerns identified in school settings, including gender identification issues.
2) Protects girls competitive sports and school spaces to be for biological girls only.
3) Prevents the sterilization of children by prohibiting the use of puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, mastectomies and genital surgeries for minors.
The ideological capture of California’s Capitol is reflected in its response to the endeavor. Upon registration with the State, the Act was renamed “RESTRICTS RIGHTS OF TRANSGENDER YOUTH. INITIATIVE STATUTE.” Even the naming of this Act has led to court cases. Currently the Secretary of State is using these titles:
1960. (23-0018A1) REQUIRES SCHOOLS TO REPORT ANY CHANGE IN A STUDENT’S EXPRESSED GENDER, WITHOUT EXCEPTION FOR STUDENT’S SAFETY. INITIATIVE STATUTE
1961. (23-0019A1) ELIMINATES STUDENTS’ RIGHTS TO PARTICIPATE IN SCHOOL ACTIVITIES CONSISTENT WITH THEIR GENDER IDENTITY. INITIATIVE STATUTE
1962. (23-0020A1) PROHIBITS GENDER-AFFIRMING HEALTH CARE FOR MINORS. INITIATIVE STATUTE
Protect Kids CA needs to collect over 500,000 signatures by the end of April 2024 for the initiative to appear on the ballot! Consider downloading the petition and collecting signatures among your friends and family. Every petition must be signed by individuals on a county-by-county basis, so small groupings of signatures are fine. Simply print the petition as described on their website, collect local signatures of registered voters, and mail the hard copies to the address on the petition. Out of state? Consider sending a donation to assist with the effort!
For more information, (including to download and sign the petition) go to Protect Kids California’s website.
Please spread the word, pray, and help Californians restore their democracy!
Praise God for the stand California parents are making to protect innocent children.
